Or too dry and clinical. Adults with ADD need straightforward tools for coping with real experiences. This book offers exactly what they need.  Written on February 18, 2008 Summary: Decent, depending on what kind of help you need This was one of the first books I read on Adult ADD, and I liked it. It did have allot of good ideas, and covers just about all areas. If you need help with organization and time management, I'd recommend "ADD Friendly Ways to Organize Your Life" before this book, but if your focus isn't on just those two issues, this book has broader info, covering other topics, such as the workplace and social skills. So, get this book depending on your needs.  Written on February 6, 2008 Summary: Excellent place to begin What makes this a great book is that it really outlines all of the major implications of having ADD and gives some ideas for how to address them. It is short, and hence a quick read that will get you started thinking about where to go next in researching specific ADD-related issues. Written on January 31, 2008 Summary: Best ADD book out there This book is a short, easy read, filled with direct solutions and tips. This is the most helpful ADD book I've come across. I bought over 10 and returned them all except for this one and ADD-Friendly Ways to Organize Your Life (which I like just as much, but goes more in depth). I refer to this book very often. Its suggestions have saved my household because they are actually doable. Note: I highly suggest women skip the books written for women with ADD...they were too long, chatty, and often absurd. This book give you the specific strategies you need for keeping your life, mind and home organized. Written on January 18, 2008 Summary: A must read for those with ADD A great book to give family members of those with ADD. I could really relate to the information being that I'm in my 30's and leaving with ADD. The medicane very helps, if you have ADD get help don't just live life, get the medicane and love life. Written on December 14, 2007 Summary: Review I found the book to be helpful. I liked the way she deals with the way ADD really is and talks straight up to the readers about ADD. |
