 Written on November 15, 2007 Summary: wonderful im off and running recently i just started following patterns i am having so much fun creating new things with new stitches i have crocheted since i was 8 but i never could follow a pattern now that i can i love this book so many fun things to make Thank you Written on November 3, 2007 Summary: Squares will never be boring again! I love this book, squares are such a great project being that they are so portable, you can take them practically everywhere. This book has enough designs to make sure you will never be bored crocheting plain ole granny squares again. The designs are beautiful, the patterns easy to follow, the pictures great. Only complaint is there are several errors in the patterns, I found them on the publisher's website and wrote them in the book (as I will never be parting with it). But despite that it's a great book that any crocheter will love. Many "traditional" designs and lot of more "modern" looking grannies! It's a have to have for your crochet library! Written on August 2, 2007 Summary: Nice, inspiring book! I'm really glad I ordered this book. It's very inspiring and has lots of lovely squares to mix and play around! It also gives axamples of the same squares made with different colors. What I most like about it is that it doesn't bring "closed projects", but encourages you to create your own - choosing colors and squares combinations. It just didn't receive 5 stars because there are no diagrams and I prefer following diagrams instead of written instructions... Written on May 17, 2007 Summary: Really different I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful some of the squares in this book are. As a novice, the patterns seem easy to follow. The sheer number of squares and the fact that most of them are really different from what you see elsewhere, makes me very glad I came across this book. I think I found a mistake if anyone can confirm: square 92 Victorian Lace. Round 1 begins with CH4 and then DC into the ring, but the rest of the stitches into the ring are TR. I think the first DC is supposed to be a TR. |
