Professional Review:
Who says your baby can’t “talk” about his or her feelings? In fact, babies’ actions often speak louder than words! Understanding those actions–and responding appropriately to them–is the key to giving your child a head start to a healthy and happy future. Now the authors of the bestselling Baby Minds and Baby Signs translate the latest research on the rich inner life of babies into practical, fun activities that will foster your child’s emotional skills during the most critical period–between birth and age three. This comprehensive guide will help you help your child express emotions effectively, develop empathy, form healthy friendships, and cope with specific challenges. Learn how to:

•Talk with your child about emotions in order to help him recognize and control his own
•Use face-to-face interaction, tone of voice, song, and touch to make your infant feel safe and secure
•Start a gratitude journal to help your child appreciate the good things in life
•Nurture self-esteem with “try, try again” activities and simple chores
•Create a “What are they feeling” deck of cards to help your child understand and practice emotions
•Use games and songs to help your child practice self-control
•Overcome temper tantrums, aggression, shyness, separation anxiety, and other challenges

Whether your child is as easy to raise as a sunflower, as difficult as the prickly holly bush, requires the patience of the delicate orchid, or is as active as the exuberant dandelion, Baby Hearts helps you provide the
emotional support that may be the most important gift a parent can give.

   Summary: Greatful!
Finally a book that considers how the baby feels! Linda and Susan remind us all that our beautiful babies are in fact "little people" with needs, wants, and feelings too! The authors point out that babies are capable of becoming happy, sad, scared, lonely, overwhelmed, angry, empathetic, impatient etc. just like any person does. Their important research has found that it is imperative to always consider the amazingly important emotions of our littlest people. Baby Hearts is a must have book for all new mothers! Thank you Linda and Susan for toting the very important message, "Happy, secure and emotionally heathy children need to be treated, with respect, dignity, attentiveness and unconditional love in the most nurturing way we can!"

   Summary: Becoming a Nurturing Parent
I appreciate so much being able to understand different types of personalities in children. I would like to have had this book 14 years ago when raising by "active, Dandelion" son. Instead we learned the hard way to understand emotions and why he was so active. This book will now help as I raise my "Sunflower" daughter and I will be so much better off understanding how I can nurture both of my children emotionally while they are becoming caring, nurturing people themselves. Thank you for your insight.

Summary: Baby Hearts is a guide book to my baby!
I didn't grow up in the best of circumstances, and I am concerned with not passing on that legacy to my children. This book has been so eye-opening! It is common sense that may not be so common now-a-days. I'm truly thankful for the opportunity to read such wisdom, and I am already incorporating what I have learned into my relationship with my one year old. I am certain that reading this book is going to make a lasting, positive difference in the relationship between my first child and I, and surely in the ones that may come. Thank you Susan!

   Summary: Wonderful Book!
I was so excited to see another book by the authors of Baby Signs and Baby Minds. This book was a wonderful addition to add to my "parenting library". It is very easy to read. I want to give my three children the best start possible and I feel that this book is a great tool for helping me do just that!

Summary: Saved the best for last!!!
I only wish I ned been given Baby Signs when I had my first child. As a mom, you want so much to see that all there emotional, physical, developemental, social, etc. needs are taken care of. I feel like this trilogy are wonderful tools to assist parents in looking inside the childs mind, so that we can better understand whats going on and attend their needs!!!
