 Written on March 13, 2007 Summary: YES All this time I've been trying to convey the concepts presented in Fast Food Nation to my child. This really puts it all into a perspective to which he can relate. Written on March 10, 2007 Summary: Important book to read This book was very helpful. My 11 year old daughter loved it and since reading it has sworn off fast food and everything with red dye. Not only does the book give important facts about the processing of fast foods and disurbing truths about chemicals and additives, it gives an interesting history of the founders of all the major food chains. He talks about many main horrors in fast food, and other big companies such as Coca-Cola. The author tells you about many amazing facts, from the riots against Pepsi in Alaska to the bugs in your food! This book has really taught me a lot of things, and I hardly ever eat at fast food restaurants anymore, and this book will definitly teach you many things too. Though it is horribly realistic, it really makes a good read and is interesting. Mostly, it teaches you many things and will probably help you make smart decisions later in your life. |
