This summer the Penderwick sisters have a wonderful surprise: a holiday on the grounds of a beautiful estate called Arundel. Soon they are busy discovering the summertime magic of Arundel’s sprawling gardens, treasure-filled attic, tame rabbits, and the cook who makes the best gingerbread in Massachusetts. But the best discovery of all is Jeffrey Tifton, son of Arundel’s owner, who quickly proves to be the perfect companion for their adventures. The icy-hearted Mrs. Tifton is not as pleased with the Penderwicks as Jeffrey is, though, and warns the new friends to stay out of trouble. Which, of course, they will—won’t they? Written on December 18, 2007 Summary: Great! The pendeerwicks is a good book for a people of all ages. I liked the way the author made each penderwick sister unique and yet still have some of the same qualities. I also liked how the book was fast paced and kept you on your toes with all of the exciting adverntures and situations the penderwick sisters got themselves into. I didnt give this book 5 stars because although i said it was fast paced it was still a little hard to get into in the begining and i had to stay diciplined and keep on reading. But once you got into it, it was hard to stop reading. Not only did the author do a good job of making the sisters unique and intresting the author also did that with every single charactor. Its a great book and if your thinking about reading it you should.  Written on December 3, 2007 Summary: Penderwicks I have never liked reading,then my 6th grade teacher sent out book orders. Then I orderd the penderwicks. I couldn't put it down! This fantastic tale is a joy for all ages! I recommended it to all my friends and they loved it too! Now a newberry award winner this is a great summer, winter, or spring break read! The characters are funny and original! I can't even begin to tell all the adventures they have! I would give this book a million stars if I could! All in all, I loved this book and recommend it to anyone! Written on November 21, 2007 Summary: Fantasic!! I am a 10 year old girl who adores this book. It is full of adventure, friendship, and sisterhood. There are 4 sisters that go on a summer vacation. They go to a cottage that is owned by some very rich people. Those people's son is very interesting, this almost step-father (his mother wants to marry him) wants to ship him off to a military school after is mother gets marryed to him. Doesn't that sound aful! Well the boy and the 4 sisters are trying to stop it, the boy wants his mother to be happy but he doesn't want to go to military school. This book includes a bull, a storymaking sister and much, much more. If you want to get more information about this book........READ IT!!!!! Written on November 8, 2007 Summary: The Penderwicks-Delightful! This is a very interesting book about four sisters- Batty, Skye, Jane, and Roselynd.
