The good news is that potty training doesn't have to be complicated and neither does a book that explains it.  Written on December 29, 2006 Summary: Used this book to train our TWINS! I searched through many approaches but this one made the most sense and was very straight forward. With twin boys it didn't happen in quite a day but they were both trained in two weeks. I recommend this book to all my friends. I especially liked the trouble-shooting questions in the back. Written on October 28, 2006 Summary: Short, easy to read, and very helpful We seriously doubted we could train our daughter in a day - we hoped a couple of weeks would get us headed in the right direction. You'll be dubious too when you read the intro (tells about a Mom who trained their kid in 5 hours), but after 3 days of using the methods from this book, our daughter was clean and dry. She didn't really take to the doll like the book said she would, but the basic ideas in the book are very easy to implement and helped A LOT. It's a quick read and gives good guidance, but is not so strict you can't adapt it to your own parenting style and the personality of your toddler. Just be patient - potty training won't be easy. We were ready to give up after half a day, but we're SO glad we stuck it out - the second day was much easier and day 3 was great!  Written on May 24, 2006 Summary: Sales expert hits the potty market I don't trust this author because of all the bad press over his other books. Picked this up in a bookstore and it looks like any other toilet training book. I'll go for an author with more experience in childrearing issues just to be safe. Written on May 1, 2006 Summary: POTTY TRAINED WITHIN DAYS! Got this book along with Elmo Underwear from ebay, and trained within days!!! Also, Wiggles Underwear, Thomas the Tank Underwear, Buzz Underwear should work, too. Just as long as your child likes the character. Maybe, could have skipped this book, and went straight for the character underwear? Note: When potty training, don't forget to buy the character underwear. We bought Elmo Underwear with the baseball cap (sport theme) from ebay and it worked great. Trained within days!! Written on October 21, 2005 Summary: Potty Training 1-2-3 Book makes a lot of sense and I will be very happy if it works half as well as Ezzo's Babywise. We will be potty training next week using this book. |
