Professional Review:
When Governor Mike Huckabee entered the Republican presidential race, he was the ultimate dark horse, with almost no money, no consultants, and no name recognition beyond Arkansas. The so-called experts were highly amused by this former small state governor from blue-collar roots who also played bass in a rock band. He wouldn’t have a prayer against the well-connected and financially wired pros like Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney, and Fred Thompson.

But Huckabee had one big advantage: a common sense message that connected with millions of people, and not just his fellow evangelical Christians. He spoke about family values, fair taxes, and helping hard-working, middle-class Americans in a tough economy. And to the dismay of some Republicans, he talked about fighting Wall Street greed and K Street corruption.

Huckabee shocked the country by winning the all-important Iowa caucuses and seven other states, while spending far less than the other major candidates. He created an army of passionate volunteers and small donors, transforming his campaign into a true movement that will endure long after Election Day.

Do The Right Thing is Huckabee’s amazing story, in his own words—from making commercials with Chuck Norris to meeting a Michigan woman who insisted on donating her wedding ring. But this is more than just a campaign memoir. It’s a vision for a smarter, fairer type of politics—“vertical politics”—that focuses on common sense solutions for education, health care, the economy, and many other issues. It’s not about right versus left; it’s about taking America up rather than down.
Huckabee also shows how the Republican Party can heal its divisions—between social and fiscal conservatives, the wealthy and the middle class, the religious and the secular—and become a true majority party again.

   Summary: common sense
It is a shame that Huckabee wasnt voted in to be our President, his wisdom and integrity is what we need now in America. It is a great book and if only we the people would do the right thing, America could turn around hopefully and all this politically or religiously correct nonesense could end once and for all.I encourage everyone to buy the book and seriously think about all he says about our government and how it is now running.

   Summary: Great!
Mike Huckabee's "Do the Right Thing" was excellent reading. Unlike many politicians, he is a kind, humorous, thoughtful, ethical, real human being.I love his idea regarding the Fair Tax.

I hope he has an opportunity to serve our country in public office again. He will get my vote!

   Summary: I have hope again!
This book gave me hope. I have always been a supporter of Gov Huckabee's -- but am even more so after reading his book. His common sense approach gives me hope that we may be able to create real solutions -- without increasing our governments size. His book is easy to read and gives an insight I have not found anywhere else.

Summary: Only wish I had known!
I am a republican and voted for Mike in the Kansas primaries. Just wish that I and many others would had known some of the other things that Mike Huckabee had on his agenda. This book was a quick read but toward the end, moreover after page 170, it seemed that he was trying to fill pages to make his book. The book does give the reader a very good sense of where he stands on all issues and basic life. Thanks Mike for your insights, you are someone who needs to be in Washington!!

Summary: An insightful and enjoyable read
A very insightful and interesting journey. At times I felt as if I were right along his side on a roller coaster ride with all the ups and downs-turns and twists-racing to be the Rep. candidate of choice. A great read to say the least. After I finished reading the book it made me realize how presidential he really is. Highly recommended.
