Summary: Ted Tripp: A truly sick and perverted man writing a very twisted book
Ted Tripp sounds like a disturbed man. Does he "get off" on slipping down the underpants of small children and then hitting them on the buttocks? I think he has some serious problems.

I would never leave a child alone with him. He looks spooky too.

Most disgusting of all, this man uses The Bible as his "justification" for abusing small children.

This book is pure evil, dressed up to look like a book about "child rearing".

Warning to Ted: If you ever go near my child, you will pay a very, very high price.

I intend to let lots of parents know about you. And to make sure you stay far away from their children.

You're sick, Ted. Please get some help.

Summary: Received as a gag gift. I read it, and gagged.
I found the experience horrifying. I was prepared for a "Fundamentalist" outlook, but I found it to be far more "mental" than fun.
How can a man advocate violence against children as young as eight months old and not be in prison? Dress it up as "biblical" teaching.

Summary: What are the alternatives to spanking?
I believe parents spank because they don't realize that there are other ways to gain their children's cooperation and respect.

For humane, effective alternatives to spanking, I recommend "How to Talk So Kids Will Listen and Listen So Kids Will Talk." It's so easy to use--every technique is illustrated with cartoons.

My mother "switched" us kids occasionally, but I sent her a copy of "How to Talk" after I had children, and she loved it. Now she uses the techniques with all her grandchildren.

Summary: Most abusive piece of trash ever written. Child abusive
This is quite possibly the worst and most abusive book ever written. This man is a very sick individual. Not only does he completely obliterate pure facts, his reasonings are quite often the oppositive of what nearly every bible scholar has ever written about or stated. He is currently running across the country trying to get people to attend and PAY for him to teach them how to beat children. There is NO evidence in the bible that God EVER instructs anyone to hit their children. "Spare the Rod, Spoil the child" is a man-written verse credited to a poet, not to God! In fact, God never directly in the old testament speaks anywhere of hitting children, and in the new testament, Jesus speaks very clearly on this issue by stating that should anyone allow harm to His children, may a stone be placed around their neck and he be cast into the depths of the ocean. Cmon, parents, let's all raise our children in an atmosphere of love and self discipline, lead by example, not by punishment!

   Summary: Handbook for child abusers
The book should be entitled "Beating A Child's Heart into Submission." This man manipulates the teachings of Christ to promote child abuses. He teaches ruthlessness in the rearing of children. He advises parents to be merciless when dealing with children. He claims that if a child exhibits any resistance to your wishes s/he must be beat or you as a parent are failing to do God's will. His parenting techniques are dangerous, damaging to children and totally inconstant with what accredited studies tell us about child development.
