Written on June 14, 2007 Summary: The Silver Palate It has alot of different recipes not your usual run of the mill.  Written on June 12, 2007 Summary: Reliable Recipes The original Silver Palate Cookbook was always been a wonderful source of ideas for casual or more formal dinners. Whatever the recipe, it was a sure bet that it would turn out and be delicious. I love the color photos and inserts. It adds to the inspiration of trying out more recipes.  Written on June 8, 2007 Summary: Silver Palate cook book I found out about this cookbook from a column in the New York Times and decided to try it. According to the NYT column, the recipes are very good, along with being easy and quick to prepare. I have not as yet tried all the recipes, but the ones I have tried are outstanding. I would call the recipes "sophisticated" compared to most cookbooks for everyday eating these days. The recipes I have tried have been easy to prepare, and provide delightful and unusual flavors (at least by my experience). I look forward to making more of these recipes and plan to use this book for everyday eating as well as entertaining. Written on June 8, 2007 Summary: Silver Palate Cookbook Extremely happy when I found the item and received it so quickly. Written on May 29, 2007 Summary: Not a Bad Recipe in It!!! I've enjoyed using my updated "Silver Palate Cookbook". Believe it, or not, up until just recently, I had ALL the cookbooks by Rosso and Lukins EXCEPT for the "Silver Palate". I had heard from my friends how great it was and had even tasted the results, but I just hadn't picked it up. Not until my husband went ahead and bought this edition for me, a couple of weeks ago, did I finally get in on the act. I have MANY cookbooks in my collection, but lately this has been the first one I pick-up. I haven't any plans to purchase anymore cookbooks. I think my collection is now complete!!! |
