 Written on January 24, 2008 Summary: Not Your Traditional Anne Rice Once upon a time... That's how Sleeping Beauty usually starts. By the time you get to page 2 you realize you're in for an awakening yourself. This book is beautifully done. Starting from being awoken not by a kiss, but through intercourse, it tells of a princess who is taken by another kingdom. As a sex slave, she is forced to undergo much pain and sexual frustration, only to be used like an object for the every desires of whomever sees fit. Her life becomes intertwined with that of other princes and princesses who share the same fate, to serve the rich. Once Beauty is sold on the auction block, her life starts to change forever, even while staying the same... I don't want to give away the ending of the trilogy, because while some people may view this as "[...]" it has a very well put together plot, that is worth reading. This book was originally released under the name A. N. Rocquelaure which is how I originally found it, and when I google searched the name, it came up as Anne Rice. If you like this book, you should also take a look at "Belinda", written by Anne Rice under the name Anne Rampling. Written on January 20, 2008 Summary: Not for the faint at heart or easily embarassed An amazing journey by Rice. I found myself blushing when no one was in the room with me even. They were shipped properly and were sent out quickly. A very enjoyable purchase. Thank you!  Written on December 22, 2007 Summary: Hmmm ...? Good. I dont want to say I hated this but it was too much. After about a 1000 beatings and "Pony" play sessions I had enough, lol. I have nothing agains BDSM infact I like erotic novels that get into that but this was too much. If youre into S/m and Pony play, humiliation, and many beatings type stuff this is for you :)I think if people knew the sort of eroctica / BDSM it was they would be not be so displeased...and there would not be so many harsh reviews (-_-)  Written on October 23, 2007 Summary: Rice should stick to her sad vampires Only Anne Rice could manage to write an "erotic" trilogy and completely turn off the reader with her lame dialogue, tasteless sex scenes and flat writing. These books are like "The Story of O" without the psychological impact. Rather, it's like reading the script of a bad porn movie. Nevermind that the books were originally published several years ago- the writing is just plain bad. As you're reading, you might find yourself fantasizing...about finding something more exciting to read, like a phonebook or your state's new tax laws. Save your money for something (anything!) more appealing! |
