Can you fall in love in thirteen hours? It's her birthday but lonely workaholic Dana Watts is at the office late, drafting a proposal.  Written on June 16, 2008 Summary: HOT HOT HOT Since there is a description of the book and others have written about it also, I'll skip that and just say: This book is so hot it will scorch the eyes right out of your skull! What a pleasant surprise. I have never read anything by this author and ordered it on a whim (desperate for something good to read). The description intrigued me enough and am I ever glad I took a chance. I've since ordered Infinite Loop by the same author, but haven't started it yet. I loved the characters and was sucked into the story from the opening line (and if you've read it already, you know what I mean *wink wink*). Considering almost the first half of the book takes place in an elevator, with only the two main characters present, I was very impressed by the author's ability to keep my interest. I am one of those readers who tend to skip over things that don't look important, but I read every single word in this one (some parts I read more than once). This is erotica with a bit of kink thrown in for good measure. Excellent read and I can't wait to read more by Meghan O'Brien! Highly recommended! Written on June 15, 2008 Summary: Scorching! Just show you that sometime you do meet your mate in the akward places. Written on June 4, 2008 Summary: Hot! Now, isn't it funny how perception changes expectation? Meghan O'Brien's latest novel is billed as an "erotic romance", which I didn't see until I opened the envelope it was shipped in. Within a millisecond, my expectations of plot went down to zero. Imagine my surprise when there was one, and well-plotted characters to boot?!? It's the story of two women, one a workaholic, one introduced as a stripper, who meet when the stripper is sent to the workaholic's workplace as a birthday present. They dislike each other, yadda, yadda, yadda... they get stuck in an elevator together and sex ensues ;) But there is more to their story, the characters are believable and likeable. And there's sex. Lots of hot sex. O'Brien is really good at that, so why shouldn't she exploit her talent. And this time I can't complain about too much sex as it says so on the cover and can be pleasantly surprised by the bonus plot and characters with depth. It's of the same caliber as her previous novels, just moved to the correct category this time. Written on May 30, 2008 Summary: Golly this is hot. This has to be one of the hottest books I have read in a long time. This author constructs the sexiest and hottest sex scenes. The submissive/domme relationships are believable and touching. The author really delves into the complexities of unrestrained trust. I loved this book it is a must read to anyone who wishes to understand what undying love is. Anyone who has ever had a fantasy must definately read this book. I have read and loved Infinate Loop and The Three and while I am hard-pressed to find the best, I think this book may well be it. I needed to take cold showers regularly while reading this novel. Congrats to BSB for signing this author and I am convinced Meghan O'Brien will be around for a long time. Devlyn |
