Written on December 21, 2007 Summary: yoga sox review Very nice for wearing to the gym for yoga class when I don't know what's been on the floor or how recently it's been cleaned....I get a few odd looks, but clean feet!  Written on December 12, 2007 Summary: Very sticky but they hurt my toes I like the socks, they work very well for holding your feet in place. I however had trouble with the spaces between my toes. When doing standing stretches like triangle pose or warrior pose the stitching between the toes would dig in and cause pain. I use them now for my hands instead. Written on November 28, 2007 Summary: yoga socks I bought these thinking that they would provide protection for my bare feet and the floor. However, they are a bit uncomfortable when doing yoga and in some moves, my toes slide, forcing me to stop and adjust the socks. In about half of the classes, I just take them off and continue. However, I know someone in my yoga class who loves them. Toe Sox Women's Yoga / Pilates Socks, Pair  Written on October 30, 2007 Summary: Best for Pilates, very good for non-vinyasa yoga I love these socks! They fit well and are not bulky between the toes. I tried them out primarily for the Pilates studio, and there they excel in keeping my feet warm and clean, while providing a comfort barrier between heels or balls of the feet and the reformer footbar. I also appreciate the non-stick soles and the mental comfort level from having my less than attractive feet covered up yet fully accessible for Pilates. I do not recommend these for vinyasa yoga, I tried and my feet slid somewhat backward out of the socks while moving in and out of Down Dog. However, they are perfect for seated and prone yoga, inversions or to pull on for Savasana and/or meditation. The light layer keeps the feet warm, hence providing a warming, calming effect for the entire body. Separating the toes is a yogic principle anyway, and while doing meditative or long holding, non-flow asana, the individually wrapped toes help you achieve this goal. I've recently tried them for my fusion Pilates, ballet inspired and Yoga Booty Ballet videos (light impact, barefoot dancing) with success, too! Written on October 28, 2007 Summary: Great product! Your feet definitely won't slip. It feels a little weird in between your toes at first, but you quickly forget you're wearing them. Great for keeping your feet from slipping when doing the foot workout. |
